Canoeing

canoes on trentham lakes

The newly formed Trentham Canoe Club based on the lake at Trentham Awakes focuses on placid – or flat – water canoeing, both recreational and competitive.

There are opportunities for juniors, adults and people with disabilities, whether experienced or a complete beginner.  School groups of all ages and special schools can come canoeing during the day by prior arrangement.

The club offers taster sessions, bellboat and outrigger canoeing suitable for large groups or those with learning or physical disabilities, as well as after-school racing canoeing sessions.

Trentham Canoe Club also works closely with Staffordshire Scouts, helping to provide a day’s water activity for each of the country’s scouts.

Club night is Monday 6 - 8pm and welcomes beginners of all ages.
