License to operate
Stoke-on-Trent City Council has market franchise rights to operate all markets, car boot sales and fairs in Stoke-on-Trent. Anyone wishing to operate one of these activities must contact the markets team to see if a licence can be granted. Licenses are only granted to individuals or organisations who are operating these events for charitable purposes or for school funds. Organisers not doing this may face legal action.
