Reference and Information Services
The main Reference and Information service for the city is based at the City Central Library in Hanley.
There is a wide range of material for reference including books, newspapers, magazines, maps and leaflets.
We will be pleased to help with your enquiries and find books for you. You can make your enquiry in any of the following ways:

- by visiting the library in person.
People's Network Enquire Service
The People's Network Enquire service is a national enquiry service that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This service allows you to 'chat' online to library staff from around the United Kingdom who are trained to help you find the answers to your questions. Librarians in the United States will answer your questions when UK libraries are closed.
The service is free, and anyone can use it at any time.
