Computer Services

Customers using our computer facilities

You can book your free computer session at any of the libraries in Stoke-on-Trent.

There is a range of applications on all the computers including:

  • Microsoft Word;
  • Microsoft Excel;
  • Microsoft PowerPoint;
  • MSN Messenger;
  • Internet Explorer;
  • Email via the Internet; and
  • Acrobat reader

    Our friendly staff are on hand to help if you have any problems.

    Booking your session

    You can book most of the computers for up to two hours at a time. Selected computers at the City Central Library, Hanley are available to book for up to 15 and 30 minutes at a time.

    Children are welcome to use our computer facilities provided a parent or guardian has signed a parental consent form.

    We advise you to book in advance as our facilities are very popular.

    Additional facilities

    The following are available at selected libraries:

  • scanners;
  • large monitors;
  • large keyboards;
  • black and white printers;
  • colour printers;
  • screen magnification software; and
  • Kurzweil software for people with visual impairments or print disabilities.
