Library services for children and young people

Children's area at City Central Library, Hanley

As important members of the community, you will find in your library:

  • a welcoming area specially designed for you;
  • friendly, helpful staff waiting to help you;
  • a great selection of books for all ages, cultures and interests;
  • talking books, DVDs, videos, book and toy packs;
  • dual language and large print books;
  • computers for Internet access and word processing;
  • Brainwaves study support club (at selected libraries); and
  • storytimes, reading games and fun activities.

    Your ideas are always welcome. Let us know if there is anything you would like to see in the library. You can recommend books or activities you'd like to join in with.
