The wallace Centre

The Wallace Centre was opened in 2004 as a community sports provision. Since then the member base has grown and now attracts guests from across the city. The centre's core aims are to provide sporting and educational facilities, as well as raising health and fitness levels in the local community.

Activity Hall A caters for a variety of sporting activities such as:

  • Badminton; 
  • Mini-basketball; 
  • Mini-hockey; 
  • Indoor bowls; 
  • Table-tennis; and  
  • Events such as boxing and parties (including a bouncy castle).

Activity Hall B has a purpose-built boxing facility and the hall also caters for:

  • Badminton; 
  • Table tennis; 
  • Fitness classes; 
  • Kick boxing; and  
  • Other small participant sports.

Fitness Suite
Our fully air-conditioned fitness suite includes a range of:

  • cardio-vascular machines; 
  • fitted weight machines; and  
  • free weights.

All our guests must book an induction before using the fitness suite.

Fitness Classes
We offer a variety of fitness classes, which are led by qualified instructors, including:

  • Spinning
  • 50+ Zumba 
  • Circuit training; 
  • Nifty fifty keep fit
  • Abs blast
  • Zumba
  • Yoga
  • Spin circuit
