The Wallace Centre was opened in 2004 as a community sports provision. Since then the member base has grown and now attracts guests from across the city. The centre's core aims are to provide sporting and educational facilities, as well as raising health and fitness levels in the local community.
Activity Hall A caters for a variety of Sporting Activities such as:
- Badminton;
- Mini-Basketball;
- Mini-Hockey;
- Indoor Bowls;
- Table-Tennis; and
- Host events such as boxing and parties (including a bouncy castle).
Activity Hall B has a purpose built boxing facility and the hall also caters for:
- Badminton;
- Table Tennis;
- Fitness classes;
- Kick Boxing; and
- Other small participant sports.
Fitness Suite
Our fully air-conditioned fitness suite is made up of:
- a wide range of cardio-vascular machines;
- a range of fitted weight machines; and
- a selection of free weights.
All our guests must book an induction before using the fitness suite.
Fitness Classes
We offer a variety of fitness classes which are led by
qualified instructors and include:
- Aerobics;
- Boxercise;
- Circuit Training;
- Tai-Bo;
- Yoga; and
- Nifty Fifty.
Creche Facility
Free membership to the centre entitles you to
a reduced fee at a local Nursery (subject to available spaces).
Education and Club Room
These
rooms can be used for various activities such as:
- Meetings;
- Youth activities;
- Fitness classes;
- Birthday parties;
- Seminars and conferences; and
- much more.
