Cycling in Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke-on-Trent was awarded ‘Cycling City’ status back in 2008 by the Department for Transport and was one of only 18 towns and cities across England to be given this accolade.  The city has a wonderful network of greenways for cycling that allow you to travel around safely without having to share your space with traffic.

CycleStoke was set up to improve the:

  • image and promotion of cycling;
  • availability and accessibility of cycling; and
  • cycling infrastructure, such as parking facilities and cycle routes, across the city.

Whether you are new to cycling or an experienced cyclist, you can find all the information you need to enjoy Stoke-on-Trent by bike at the CycleStoke website.

The site is full of useful information from tips on buying a bike, route planning, cyclist training, bike security and joining a cycle club.

Cycling has so many benefits: it’s great for your health; good for the environment; it’s a cheap, reliable, and quick form of transport; but above all it’s great fun. So, what are you waiting for? Go out and enjoy it…
