Festivals

Our Cultural Development Team is committed to developing and supporting a broad range of festivals and events activities across the city and the sub-region.

We work in partnership with a number of organisations to support the regeneration of the city and its centre by programming exciting, distinctive events that promote the city as a forward looking, modern, contemporary and distinctive place to live, work and visit.

We provide advice and guidance to groups and organisations wishing to develop their own festivals and events and help bring communities together in a spirit of celebration to restore civic pride and foster community cohesion.

The team also provides seed/match funding through its Festival Development Grant Scheme. For more information click on ‘funding’ in the more pages links from our main page.
