Non City Council Job Vacancies

Here is a great opportunity to make a difference to the involvement of children & young people’s access to arts and culture in Stoke, and Newcastle-under-Lyme, through Stoke’s the City of Culture developments and as part of a Cultural Education Partnership (CEP) through working with Arts Connect and people from the arts, cultural, heritage and education sectors.

The role of voluntary Chair for the CEP which would involving representing this strategic group on the City of Culture’s Board (see Brief attached) will be key in shaping the arts and cultural landscape for children in this area for the next 20 years.

We are keen to find a Chair for this important group who has experience of working with children and young people, and knowledge of education and arts and culture sectors to work with partners to make a difference in Stoke.

Stoke-on-Trent Libraries Work Club

Stoke-on-Trent Libraries run work clubs throughout the city, both in libraries and in community locations – the aim of these work clubs is to help people apply for jobs, to sign up for email addresses (and become familiar with using email) and create CVs – amongst other employment-related skills.
We also offer 1-2-1 employability sessions, a CV creation service and courses to help people build their skills.
Work clubs are run by our IT mentors and library staff.
