Which is why encouraging learning for all, throughout life is at the heart of our regeneration strategy. Planning an exciting University Quarter, we work closely with local Further and Higher Education providers to ensure that local people have the skills local businesses need.

For those of you with children, you’ll be glad to know that we’re continually raising standards and have attracted over £300 million of investment to modernise and rebuild all of our nursery, primary, secondary and specialist schools. However, we appreciate that equipping children for the future is not just about getting good qualifications and exam results. We actively encourage all young people to achieve by enjoying sport, outdoor education, music and the arts.
