About these roles

Our work centres on the council decision making process, monitoring and recording decisions and the reasons behind them. Working across all areas of the council at all levels, we provide democratic services and legal advice, assistance and representation. We support elections and the democratic process, ensure compliance with appropriate legal/procedural frameworks and help councillors in their overview and scrutiny of operations.
