About these roles

Economic – At the forefront of the city’s major transformation, we attract businesses and facilitate employment in the areas of education, health and social work, financial services, retail, distribution and transport. While the city still retains strong links with leading ceramic producers such as Wedgwood and Spode - our future lies in a diversified economy.

Environment - With over 1,380 hectares of parks and open spaces, Stoke is one of the greenest cities in the UK – a fact we’re very proud of! We’re doing everything we can to protect and preserve the local environment for present and future generations by increasing recycling, reducing pollution and traffic congestion and finding innovative uses for derelict sites.

Regeneration – We secure visible and lasting improvements to the quality of people's lives in the places they live, learn, work and play. To achieve our aim, we plan, develop and deliver small and large-scale regeneration programmes and projects whilst providing highly specialised master planning, urban design and conservation services.
