Customer Services vacancies
Customer Service is the lifeblood of any organisation and everyone involved in this area makes a key contribution to delivering excellence. Providing a vital link between the council and the general public via phone, letter, email, text or face-to-face, we don’t just respond to customer enquiries – we meet needs and exceed expectations.
About these roles
As well as our Call Centre Advisors who provide a 24hr contact service at Stoke-on-Call, other key customer service roles include Receptionists, Switchboard Operators and Traffic Wardens. However, every employ must be customer focused whether they work in Education, Social Care, Recruitment or Grounds Maintenance. Which is why all of our employees receive training in this area and are encouraged to study towards a recognised customer service qualification.
Ideal skills for these type of roles include:
- Good listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify customer needs and exceed expectations
- Honesty and ability to keep customers informed
- Proactive and flexible approach
- Approachable, friendly and professional
