Community Support Services

We provide a service that delivers a wide range of support to individuals and families living in Stoke-on-Trent.  A support package is developed with the customer and is tailored to meet their needs.

We exist to offer support to customers in their own homes to ensure that they do not feel isolated and unable to cope with problems they may be facing.

Specialist support is also available for the BME community within this service.

What support is available from our services?

  • Assist you to set up and maintain a tenancy
  • Developing domestic/life skills
  • Advice, advocacy and liaison
  • Help in managing finances and benefit claims
  • Emotional support
  • Help to build your confidence and self esteem
  • Help in gaining access to other services
  • Developing social contacts and activities
  • Help in maintaining the safety and security of the dwelling
  • Resolving neighbour disputes and environmental issues
  • Accessing training and acquiring new life and social skills
  • Accessing aids and adaptations
  • Dealing with and managing anti-social behaviour
  • Parenting skills

Can anyone receive the service?
The service is open to everyone, irrespective of age. It is accessed by way of referral, either from a third party or through one of our local centers. As part of an agreed plan, support will be provided with regular reviews.
