Each local centre can provide a full range of council services and they are easily accessible and convenient to everyone.
Our staff in the local centres are trained across a wide range of services and they will make every effort to resolve any queries or questions you may have. If your enquiry is of a sensitive or confidential nature then you can request a private interview room. These are available on request and subject to availability.
Local centres also provide access to housing advice services and related external services such as the Furniture Mine or the Mediation Service. We can also also give advice and information on many other council services. In some cases we will provide direct access to these services such as housing benefits advice. Each reception area offers a wide range of council leaflets and booklets.
In each local centre there is a payments desk which you can use to make any type of city council payment. You can also buy tickets to city council events, garden refuse sacks and poopa scoops. We accept payments by cash, cheque or credit/debit cards.
When you contact your local centre your call will be answered by trained advisors from our Contact Centre, Stoke-on-Call. Our advisors can offer advice and assistance with a wide range of housing services, including logging repairs and faults, making payments, reporting and much more. Stoke-on-Call is available from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 1pm on Saturdays.
You can contact Stoke-on-Call on one easy number, 234234 and you can also use this number to access our out of hours emergency services. Please click here for further details about Stoke-on-Call.
