Kick Start

Kick Start is a new initiative led by Stoke-on-Trent City Council working with Staffordshire Housing Association, ART Homes Limited (ART) and Renew North Staffordshire. 

It offers free unbiased advice, practical help and financial assistance to homeowners who want to make their homes a better place to live in.

A free survey of your home and appointment of an approved contractor to carry out the works together with supervision of the work is available to residents who qualify for the Kick Start project.

You can get advice and guidance in a free information pack. It provides a range of information about home maintenance and energy efficiency leaflets.

Finding the money to pay for home improvements can sometimes be a problem. If you are a low income homeowner Kick Start can help you  to release equity in your property to make much needed repairs and improvements.

We can also give you details of a free ‘benefit check’ to make sure you are claiming everything due to you and your family.Please use the links on the left of this page for more information and to see if you qualify.
