Research is a vital part of understanding the housing market in the city and the needs and aspirations of communities.
We have an annual programme of research which monitors key indicators such as house prices, numbers of empty properties and affordability. We also regularly commission other organisations to complete large scale specialist projects on our behalf.
This information is then used to provide the evidence to plan investment into housing across the city, both in terms of building new properties and supported housing and investing into the older stock.
