DAAT Structure
How does the DAAT work?
The Drug and Alcohol Action Team has a Board, Joint Commissioning Groups and a number of Task Groups, all of whom have action plans. The Task Groups meet on a regular basis and report their progress to the DAAT, which meets on a quarterly basis (see diagram)
Who are the members of the Task Groups?
The membership of the Drug and Alcohol Action Team is large and varied with all attempts to be as inclusive as possible. The make-up of each group varies slightly, but the representatives are those who can help to shape or deliver the local action plan.
How is the DAAT held accountable?
Every Drug and Alcohol Action Team has to produce a yearly action plan to implement the National Strategy. Once the financial year has come to an end, the DAAT is required to produce an annual report, outlining its achievements against its original plans. Plans and reports are assessed by the Regional Government Office West Midlands, the Home Office and the National Treatment Agency.
