Bulky Waste

How do I get rid of household rubbish that is too big for the bin?

We have a wide range of options for you to choose from:

Waste and recycling sites - you can take your items to one of our two household waste and recycling sites. They are free if you live in the city. Use the link for more information about these sites.

Furniture collections - the Furniture Mine will collect furniture that is in good condition and give it to people who are in need of the items. Telephone 01782 846111.

Bulky waste collections - we will collect household furniture, furnishings and fittings which are too big or heavy for your bin. More information is below.

White goods collections - we will collect items such as cookers, fridges and washing machines. Please note our collection charges for fridges and freezers.

Skip hire - our skip hire service is an economical way of disposing of large quantities of rubbish, rubble or garden waste. Use the link from this page for details of our skip hire services.

Hazardous items - we do not remove asbestos, tyres, batteries or gas bottles. Follow the link below to our hazardous waste pages for more information or contact us for advice on how to dispose of these items. Telephone 01782 234234 or 236685
