1APP
All planning applications are made using an application form called 1APP. All planning authorities in England and Wales use this form.
We recommend that you make your application on-line. Click on this link to find out how.
Paper based applications
All the 1APP forms can be downloaded by clicking on this link to the Planning Portal web-site. Click on the LPA Search tab and choose Stoke-on-Trent City Council from the drop down list. You can then use the inter-active help to make sure you download the correct form.
Validation Check Sheet and Check List
Please make sure you provide us with everything we need so that your application can be dealt with immediately. The following links will help:

Design and Access Statements
You will need to submit four copies of a Design and Access Statement with most applications.
How much does it cost?
You will have to pay a fee with most applications. The fees are set by Government. Click on this link to download our fee form.
Please send your completed application forms with the appropriate plans, supporting information and payment to us. Use this link for our contact details.
For major applications, it will help us to process your application more quickly if you are able to provide at least six copies of the forms, plans and documents and send us electronic copies, prefereably in 'pdf' format, on a CD or DVD.

Building Control.
If you are proposing building works, do not start work until you have checked whether you need approval under the Building Regulations as well as planning permission.
