Retail and Leisure Study 2005-2021

The study provides an in-depth look at the main centres in the administrative areas of Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme - to see if there is a need for further development.  It also gives a general look at local and out of town shopping facilities and the role these centres play in meeting the retail needs of the people in the area.

The main results of the study are in the Executive Summary (see link below).

Copies of the full document and appendices are available for inspection on Floor 3 of the Civic Centre, Stoke-on-Trent.  A CD or hard copy - subject to copyright restrictions - will be made available as soon as possible after we get a request in writing.  You will need to enclose a cheque made payable to Stoke-on-Trent City Council for the amount of £70 in each case.

The retail study will help us to prepare policies in the Local Development Framework.
