Pest Control

Our pest control service is available to all residents and businesses in Stoke-on-Trent.

We provide an affordable and quality treatment service to deal with most types of pests. We can also offer free advice over the telephone or via email, but a charge will usually apply where an advice visit is requested.

Our technicians are fully qualified and suitably trained. All our work complies with current health and safety requirements and industry best practice and we only use safe, modern pesticides that are approved for use in the UK.

Treatment for rats in most domestic properties is free, but there is a charge for us to deal with other types of pests. Payment is taken in advance at the time of booking an appointment. For a list of our domestic charges and commercial rates, please see the attachment at the end of this page.

We can deal with the following pests:

• Ants
• Bedbugs
• Fleas
• Cockroaches
• Mice
• Rats
• Squirrels in roof spaces
• Wasps
• Other insects

We don't treat for foxes, feral cats, wild birds, rabbits, moles, bats or bees.

We offer an insect identification service, free of charge to domestic customers. Please put the pest in a secure container labelled with your name, address and a contact telephone number and bring it into Hanley Town Hall, Albion Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

Domestic Premises
If you live in a house rented from the local authority there is no direct charge to you for any of the pest control treatments.

If you live in privately rented accommodation, treatment for rats is usually free of charge and you or your landlord can book the appointment. For all other pest treatments there will be a charge. The person responsible for paying for treatment costs must make the appointment, as payment is required at the time of booking. If the landlord is responsible for treatments costs, the domestic rates will apply for the treatment of chargeable pests in single-occupancy occupied properties and the commercial rates will apply for treatment of all pests in houses in multiple occupation or vacant properties.

If you live in a privately owned house, treatment for rats is free and our domestic charges will apply for all other pest treatments.

Commercial Premises
We can provide treatment to deal with all of the pests listed above and can also give advice on pigeon-proofing and culling. If you are accessing the service on behalf of a business, or are a landlord with a pest problem in a house in multiple occupation or a vacant property, all pest treatments are chargeable and the commercial rates will apply.

Service contracts providing a fixed number of control visits throughout the year are available, as well as single, reactive visits. We can tailor our service to meet the individual needs of your business. For more information please contact us.

Our Service Standards
We aim to provide a professional, courteous service to all our customers and respond to routine requests for treatment as soon as possible. The waiting time for an appointment can be longer at certain times of the year due to increases in pest activity.

Where a pest problem is considered an emergency, we aim to respond within 24 hours. We define an emergency as a pest problem which poses a risk to human health in vulnerable situations. Please discuss any concerns you have with a member of staff when accessing the service.

Visits are by appointment only and our usual business hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.00pm on Friday. We may work extended hours during the summer to try to keep waiting times to a minimum and to meet the high volume of seasonal work.

When we arrange appointments we can confirm a date with you, but we are unable to tell you what time we will arrive. Where a customer requests a morning or afternoon visit we will try our best to accommodate a preference, but we cannot offer any guarantee.

Our technicians have mobile phones so if you are not at the premises when we arrive, we will try to contact you. If we can't contact you by phone, we will leave a card stating the time we called and ask you to book a new appointment. Charges for missed appointments may apply.
