I live in a Conservation Area, how does this affect my property?
You may need permission from us first if you wish to:
- demolish part or all of your property,
- remove trees,
- change the external appearance of your property,
- install a satellite dish on a wall, roof or chimney where it is visible from the road.
Can I build a new property in a Conservation Area?
Planning applications for any new development will go through the normal development control process. Applications for developments inside a Conservation Area will also be checked to make sure that it fits in with the existing character of the area.
