Education Welfare
The three main functions of the service are:
- school attendance;
- children in employment; and
- entertainment and safeguarding children (child protection).
Dedicated officers of the Education Welfare Service in Stoke-on-Trent make sure every child benefits from education by being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well being.
