Admissions to schools
Stoke-on-Trent Admissions is divided into two teams, the ‘Normal Round’ and the ‘In-Year' Team.
The Normal Round Team manages applications for children going into Nursery, Reception and Year 7 each September - the 'normal' intake points.
You can use this service if you live in and pay your council tax to Stoke-on-Trent City Council. If you pay your council tax to another Local Authority, for example, Staffordshire Moorlands, Cheshire East etc. please apply for a school place using their system.

8th September for Secondary and High School Admissions 2016 - This service is now closed. Please contact the Admissions Team if you have not yet applied for a secondary or high school place for September 2016.
14th September for Reception class, First, Junior and Middle School Admissions 2016
2nd November for Nursery Admissions 2016
Following the receipt of specialist advice in connection to building maintenance issues, Sutherland Primary Academy has taken the decision from November 2015 to operate from an off-site location. The school’s intention is to fully relocate to its original site on Beaconsfield Drive, Blurton by Easter 2016.
Parents wishing to apply for a Nursery or Reception place at Sutherland Primary Academy for September 2016, should do so in the normal way using the link below.

The In-Year Team manages applications for children who need to change schools at any other time. The In-Year team can offer help and advice on how to find a school place for your child.
The Admissions Team also give advice about applying for free school meals and transport to school. For further information about travelling to school, please click on the link under ‘policies and protocols’ which can be found towards the bottom of this page.
We are open Monday to Thursday between 8.45am to 5pm and 8.45am to 4.30pm on Friday.
