Accessible and Personalised Local Authority Websites (APLAWS)
APLAWS, which stands for 'Accessible and Personalised Local Authority Websites', is the content management system and navigation template we use to maintain Stoke-on-line.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is one of the leading users of this open source software solution developed by a Central Government Pathfinder project. Over the coming months Stoke-on-line will receive a number of important improvements to its content, presentation, accessibility and performance.
APLAWS itself is undergoing further development through the Local Authority Websites National Project (LAWS).
You can find out more about APLAWS at www.aplaws.org.uk.
You can find out more about LAWS at www.laws-project.org.uk.
In addition, we will soon be providing on-line access to services via a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution developed by Staffordshire Connects. More details at http://egov.staffordshire.gov.uk.
