The attached report has been compiled from data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), releases from the Department of Health (DOH) and statistics compiled by the West Midland Public Health Observatory.

The report contains data relating to birth rates, mortality statistics, and life expectancy, as well as the prevalence of particular diseases and ailments. The report also includes reference to lifestyle indicators such as smoking, alcohol consumption, diet and exercise, as well as poverty and deprivation.
