How to ask for published information

City of Stoke-on-Trent Publication Scheme

To find what published information is available to you use our Publication Scheme. To get a copy of our Publication Scheme, click on the link to our information lists and download the type of file you prefer to use.

What is a publication scheme?
A publication scheme describes the classes of information that we make available to the public.  The Freedom of Information Act requires all public authorities to have a publication scheme.

How to access the scheme
You can view the scheme on screen or download it to your own computer for viewing later.  You can also download a large print version.  You can see a printed copy of the scheme at our main offices where you can also request to see the document in Urdu.  An audio version is available at our main Libraries in Hanley, Longton and Tunstall.

How to use this scheme
Our publication scheme is set out in categories, which broadly describe the type of information available.   The categories in the scheme are the same as the ones used throughout this website.

Within each category the information is broken down into classes.  Classes describe the type of information that you can get from us, how to get it, and any other relevant details.  We may charge for some classes of information or for certain information in a class and we have indicated this in the scheme.  Where information relates to a public service we have described the service to help you understand what the information is about.

Replacement of material
From time to time new information will replace items listed in this scheme; the information you can obtain will be the most up to date available at the time it is provided.
