The External Funding Team is part of the larger Sustainable Community Development Team.
It is a small team dedicated to helping both voluntary and community groups as well as local authority directorates and social enterprises to seek funds for new project ideas and ways to improve facilities and services for the people in Stoke on Trent.
The team host a funding facility called Grantnet.
Business and Community groups can register easily with Grantnet and once you get your password (which is sent by return email) you can begin to use and search the site.
The external funding team also run a similar system - Grantfinder. The system is slightly more advanced and we have the ability to break down searches to get better results for groups.

Data Protection
When you log into Grantnet, you will be asked for some organisational, or if you are searching on your own behalf, personal details.
The report that you have generated will be sent to the External Funding Team at Stoke on Trent City Council who host the Grantnet facility.
We will use the information to make contact with you via mail to ask if you need any further assistance with grant seeking and the application process of training.
Your information will only be passed to another orginsation, such as Voluntary Action, if we feel that you would be better suited to that organisation assisting you. However, we will always ask for your permission first.
We will also use this information to assist us to identify where groups may need training and assistance and where we can signpost you on to other funds that might be better for you. In order to do this we might need to share your information with other grant givers, but again we will only do this with your permission.
