Carmountside Cemetery and Crematorium
We have access for wheel chairs to the office, chapel, waiting room, tea room and book of remembrance room at Carmountside. There are disabled toilet facilities in the waiting room and next to the chapel. Our new tea room facility is now open and serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
If you have hearing difficulties there is an Induction Loop system in reception and the Carmountside Chapel. Some of our information is available in braille and large print on request from the main reception. This has a low level counter for visitors with disabilities.
Our Bereavement Care Service provides cremation, burial, memorial and bereavement services for both residents and non-residents of Stoke-on-Trent. We have one crematorium at Carmountside and nine cemeteries throughout the city. We are also responsible for the memorials in 23 closed churchyards.
The service operates from Carmountside Cemetery and Crematorium office, where most staff and grounds maintenance staff are based. All records relating to cremations, burials, and memorials are held in the main office, behind the chapel and crematorium building at Carmountside.
Virtual Memorials
Bereavement Care Service are please to announce our Virtual Memorial Web Site.
A virtual memorial web site has been created for family and friends to remember their loved ones online. The memories can simply be created by leaving messages in their memory or by passing on condolences to the family. Virtual memorials celebrate the individual and are a great way to bring together friends and family over large distances.
This service is free for a limited period. Please follow the link on the left hand side of this page to take you to the website.
