We would like to take this opportunity thank all those who support this special event including our sponsors, those of you who nominate and in particular our citizens who make a difference to our city and North Staffordshire.

Since our last awards in November 2007 we have seen many changes across North Staffordshire some good, some not so good but we have always had the reputation of being hard working and dedicated.  We have newly formed resident associations and community groups striving to build better neighbourhoods.  Regeneration has been at the forefront of our city, we are already seeing the new development of our City Centre with new roads and businesses starting to come to fruition.  Staffordshire University continue to increase their sites with new student quarters to encourage both natioanl and international residences.  Keele University has provided fantastic facilities for professional research and students aiming to gain a career in health.  Our teachers and young people work extremely hard to recognise the importance of education and learning in the community.
