In a register office
You may choose to book your ceremony at the time that you give your notice or you may wish to make a provisional booking up to twelve months in advance.
If you intend to get married at our register office a provisional appointment will be held until a date is agreed with you. Giving your notice of marriage will secure the time and date chosen.
If you are marrying in a different district to where you live we would advise you to make a provisional booking with the office in which you want to get married. In the district where you live you will also need to give notice of your intention to get married.
