Making a Booking
A notice of marriage is valid for one year but it is always advisable to make a booking for your marriage as soon as you can. This applies to whether you are marrying in the Register Office or in one of our Approved Premises.
In Stoke-on-Trent we operate a provisional booking system which will allow you to book your wedding as far ahead as you wish. This will enable you to make all the necessary arrangements in good time.
A provisional booking may be made by telephone or in person. If you are booking more than one year in advance you will need to give your legal notice of marriage at the appropriate time to confirm your booking. Your notice of marriage must be given to the Superintendent Registrar of the Registration District in which you live regardless of where your marriage is to take place.
