Approved Premises

Stoke-on-Trent has an increasing number of venues approved for civil marriage. A full list of the venues licensed for marriages is available on request from the Register Office.

You must first make a booking with the venue of your choice.  Then you need to confirm with the Superintendent Registrar that our registration officers are available on the day and at the time.  It is essential that you agree the date and time with both the Superintendent Registrar and your chosen venue before making any other arrangements.

As the civil marriage ceremony is a traditionally short but meaningful ceremony, you may wish to enhance it.  Extra vows and readings can be included to allow you to personalise your ceremony so that it's special for you.  Please follow the link on the right hand side to find out about this.
