Some of our services

We:

  •  register births and deaths;
  •  supply copies of  birth, deaths and marriage certificates;
  •  give out guides to help you trace your family tree;
  •  conduct marriage ceremonies, civil partnerships, naming ceremonies, and renewal of vows.

If you are thinking of getting married at the Register Office, an approved premises or in a religious building we can help in making it a day to remember.  We have all the information you need.

When you visit our office our aim is to see you as soon as possible.  You now need to make an appointment with the Registrar to register a birth or a death or to give notice for a marriage or civil partnership. Please call 01782 234931 to make an appointment.  

All the information you give is treated in the strictest confidence and you are interviewed in private.  Our staff are all experienced Registrars and are here to help you.
