After 1 June: we will be open late on Wednesdays 8.30am to 6.30pm

From Saturday 5 April, a Registrar will be available at Carmountside Cemetery and Crematorium between 9.00am and 12.00 pm to register deaths. This is a trial to guage the need for this service, and will run for two months.

We give information about registering a birth or a death and on how to get a copy of your birth certificate.  We also give out guides to help you trace your family tree.

If you are thinking of getting married at the Register Office, an approved premises or in a religious building we can help in making it a day to remember.  We have all the information you need.

When you visit our office our aim is to see you as soon as possible.  You now need to make an appointment with the Registrar to register a birth or a death or to give notice for a marriage or civil partnership. Please call 01782 234931 between 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8:30 - 6:30 Wednesday, to make an appointment.  

All the information you give is treated in the strictest confidence and you are interviewed in private.  Our staff are all experienced Registrars and are here to help you.
