The Health and Safety Executive enforce legislation for manufacturing, construction sites, agriculture, railways and engineering industries.
Officers from Regulatory Services aim to promote improved standards of health and safety in the workplace by:
- inspecting places of work
- giving advice
- investigating accidents
- responding to complaints
- taking any necessary enforcement action
We
give advice, guidance and information to employers, employees, contractors and members of the public about health and safety
issues.
Health and safety inspections of premises are carried out on a routine basis depending on the risk rating
score of the business. Reported accidents, which meet certain specifications, are investigated and if needed advice is given.
