Information and Support for Parents

A family

This section covers information for parents.

Most of us, at some stage, need a little support or encouragement in the difficult job of bringing up children, whether that is practical, emotional or social.

Parents have a powerful influence on their child's attitudes, achievements and life outcomes and to seek information, advice or help is not about failure, it is about wanting to do your best.

Please use the sub-sections on the left-hand side of the page to guide you through information relevant to your situation.

Support for pupils at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded

Our Chances service can be contacted either by the school or parents if a child is at risk of being excluded, or has been excluded. It is staffed by experienced teachers from our behavior support service and helps children in need of support in their social and emotional development.

This can include weekly clinics to discuss concerns, regular assessments and support until both the pupil and the school is ready for them to return to full-time education.
