The Waste Local Plan will set out a vision, objectives and spatial strategy for the development of waste management facilities in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire over the next 15 years. The Core Strategy will indicate broad locations for the development of future waste sites and set criteria to be applied to proposals for new development within those broad locations.

WASTE LOCAL PLAN ADOPTED
Our new Waste Local Plan (formerly referred to as the Waste Core Strategy),has now been adopted after being found sound by the Planning Inspectorate and subsequently being approved by members of Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Staffordshire County Council. A copy of the Adoption Statement dated the 4th April 2013 can be viewed from the bottom of this page, any person aggrieved by the Plan may make an application to the High County under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, this application must be done within 6 weeks of the adoption of the document i.e. by the 16th May 2013.
