  • Join the library

If you’re not yet a member of Stoke-on-Trent Libraries, why not join? It’s completely free and open to everyone.

If you want to borrow CDs, DVDs, videos, playstation games, language courses or reminiscence boxes, we’ll need to see one proof of address in the form of an official document no more than three months old.

  • Search the library catalogue

To check whether an item is available in any Stoke-on-Trent library. You can search for books, CDs, DVDs, talking books, playstation games and language courses.

If the item you want is on the shelves, it’s a good idea to phone the library to check it’s there before making a special journey – or you could reserve it to collect from the library most convenient for you.

  • Reserve books and other items

Just click on the title you want, then on the “Reserve” button. You’ll need to enter your account details if you haven’t already done so, and choose which library to collect it from. We’ll contact you to tell you when it’s available to collect, or you can check this yourself online.

  • View your account details and renew items on loan to you

Log on to your account to check and change your personal details, see what you have on loan, renew items, see whether your reservations are available to collect, cancel your reservations and view details of charges owing and payments made.

Click on “My account” and enter your library barcode number (from your membership card) and password (this is your date of birth in the format ddmmyyyy, unless you have changed it).
