Join the Bookstart Book Crawl at Stoke-on-Trent Libraries

Under fives can join the Bookstart Book Crawl at all Stoke-on-Trent libraries. Children borrowing four books will be presented with an illustrated certificate as a keepsake of their earliest years as library members. There are ten certificates to collect, so it should keep even the most adventurous toddler busy!

The Book Crawl is an incentive scheme to encourage parents to join their children as members of the library, giving them the opportunity to share lots of stories to develop a love of reading. The scheme is one of many initiatives the library service is involved in to encourage an early love of reading.

How do I join the Bookstart Book Crawl?

Visit your library and ask to join the Book Crawl. You will receive a card to collect your stamps in. Each time you borrow a book you collect a stamp and once you collect four stamps, you receive a certificate. The certificates are beautifully designed by top children's book illustrators. If you take four books on one visit, you will get your certificate straight away.You can then enjoy your lovely books together at home.
