At Stoke-on-Trent City Council we are passionate about delivering 'excellent services, valued by customers'.
We encourage all of our staff to exceed expectations so that our customers receive the best possible service, so if a member of our staff has particularly impressed you, why not nominate them for a WOW! Award?
The WOW! Awards are the UK's only national award for outstanding customer service based purely on customer nominations. This unique and exciting award programme really helps us to give even better customer service by recognising our staff when they have gone above and beyond their normal duties to help someone.
When a customer wants to say "thank you" - the WOW! Awards provide an easy way for them to compliment great service. You can also make suggestions on how we can improve our service to you.
So if you feel that you have received a service that made you say WOW, please nominate them for a WOW! Award and give the employee the recognition they deserve. Winners are selected independently and presented with a certificate.
National WOW! Award Finals
Each year finalists are selected from our monthly winners to compete in the National WOW! Awards Finals. Keep an eye on this page for updates.
2013 finalists will be announced on Monday 1st July 2013. Judging will take place at Tower 42 in London on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th September. Winners will be announced at a Gala Ceremony in November.
How to nominate
Before you can nominate a city council employee for a WOW! Award, there are just 4 requirements that must be met:
- The nomination has to be something that makes people go 'WOW!' because of first class customer service.
- The nomination needs to be about a recent experience not something that took place a long time ago.
- It must be about a genuine customer experience, something that has happened to you personally.
- You can't nominate one of our employees if you work for the city council or have personal involvement with us.
All that we need is your name, email address and phone number (so that we can confirm your nomination and let you know if we get an award), and finally the reason for nominating the employee for this award.
How we use your personal information:
The information you give us will be used to identify you as a customer of the city council and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will also record your nomination as a compliment and include it in our reporting figures. The only information we will display on our site is your name and nomination.
