Stoke-on-Trent's corporate fraud chief will represent the city council at a top level awareness event in London tomorrow (Thurs 8 Nov).
The event will showcase the success of the council’s Spot The Cheater campaign, which has been nominated for awards
and the rights sold to other UK authorities.
Councillor Paul Shotton, cabinet member for commissioning, procurement & finance, said: “The success of this innovative campaign is an example of efficient and effective local government working at its best - zero tolerance of fraud in action.
“It has had a real impact in the city and we are very proud of the recognition it is rightfully receiving at the highest level.”
Corporate fraud manager Paul Bicknell will join representatives from the National Fraud Authority, the Local Government Association and central Government at the National Fraud Authority (NFA) pilot.
