A city council department has been shortlisted for a national award for its excellent service.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Human Resources (HR) team have been nominated for the Excellence in Public Sector HR, Personnel Today Award.
To be selected the council had to demonstrate what it is doing to improve services and what plans in place to ensure these changes are implemented.
The shortlist for the award is:-
• City of Edinburgh Council;
• Civil Service Resourcing;
• Moray Council;
• Stoke-on-Trent City Council;
• Tube Lines;
• University of Lincoln.
Councillor Olwen Hamer, cabinet member for transformation and resources, said: “Our HR team does a tremendous job within the council and it’s wonderful that this work is being recognised by a national audience. The competition is extremely tough but hopefully now we can go that one step further and claim the award.”
