A sport and leisure discount scheme in Stoke-on-Trent is being re-launched next week to offer customers even more value.
Energise, which is provided by Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Sport and Leisure Services team, currently gives customers a card to access leisure facilities and receive information and offers.
But the cards will now also allow customers the chance to collect loyalty points when they purchase products or sessions from the city’s main sport and leisure facilities; which they can then use to redeem free activities at a later stage.
And the scheme will be officially launched on Friday July 27, 2012 at Northwood Stadium, where the city council has organised a community festival. The day is free to attend and will include zorbing balls, the opening of the centre’s new outdoor assault course, archery taster sessions and a whole range of family activities.
Councillor Mark Meredith, cabinet member for economic development, inward investment, culture, sport and leisure, said:
“We are really excited about Energise as it will give residents the chance to be rewarded for using our fantastic sport
and leisure facilities.
“In our Mandate for Change we outlined our plans to make Stoke-on-Trent a great place to live and work and by encouraging
people to take an active interest in personal fitness we are achieving those goals.”
The Energise card is free and available to anyone, whilst Energise PLUS cards are priced at £5.75 a year for eligible individuals and comes with additional benefits, such as discounted off-peak usage.
