The biggest event in the Staffordshire and Cheshire area is only day's away will thousands expected to attend. Stoke2012Live will be held at Hanley Park this weekend on the 16th and 17th of June.

The two day event provides family-friendly entertainment for all ages, and for only £10 per person where else can you see some of the UK’s favourite music acts!

This Saturday showcases some of the biggest artists on the UK music scene such as pop princess Alexandra Burke, diverse duo Rizzle Kicks, grime king Skepta , relentless rapper Wretch 32 and up and coming rockers TwentyTwenty.

Sunday of this weekend accommodates acts such as sizzling girl band The Saturdays, cheeky chaps The Lovable Rogues, multi-talented producer/rapper/singer Labrinth and newly announced Lemar. The event’s diverse nature means that not only will Hanley Park be buzzing with music fans, but there will be plenty to see, do and get involved in.

Also available on Sunday is a huge range of FREE activities for all such as climbing walls, loopy ladders, water walkers and zorbing. For all our football fans out there come along to our Football Fun area and have a kick around with the Stoke City FC Community Program. If you are more of a gamer, then come along to our EA Hub and challenge a friend or family member to a virtual one on one.

Councillor Mark Meredith, Stoke-on-Trent City Council cabinet member for economic development, said: “The excitement is already building for the weekend, and thousands of people have bought tickets so far. With a whole host of international recording artists performing, and lots of free activities for all the family, it is going to be yet another major, fantastic event taking place in our city. With so many people expected, it’ll provide a massive boost to the local economy.”
