Pools in Stoke-on-Trent are welcoming new swimmers this week, by opening enrolment for their next course of children's swimming lessons.
Fenton Manor Sports Complex and Dimensions Leisure Centre, both operated by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, are offering lessons for children aged three years and above.
Dimensions are also offering lessons for babies aged six months and above, and are currently completing development work to the pool entrance and changing areas.
Councillor Gwen Hassall, cabinet member for housing and neighbourhoods, said: “Swimming is a fantastic form of exercise for people of all ages. We want to encourage people, especially children, to get involved with sport and become active and make swimming a part of their lives.
